OC3, Open Computer Coding Competition, is a bi-weekly event held in the STEAM Center Learning Studio. I participated in it frequently during my sophomore year before the pandemic halted it. OC3 restarted when everyone returned in person in my senior year and in the Fall season (2021), I teamed up with some CS and non-CS students. After many rounds that took place after-school on Wednesdays, in the Fall 2021 Championship, my team ended up taking the first-place prize. In the actual competition, we took the lead in the last 30 seconds over the other team that was head-to-!head with us. My critical thinking skills were challenged well in all the rounds and my programming skills improved as well! I was able to exemplify the following traits from the IB Learner Profile: communicators, open-minded, inquirers, and principled.
